fix your eyes on the unchangeable One

And then, He told them, “You are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.
– Mark 16:15, TLB

Looking around it’s easy to become discouraged.

Is anyone really paying attention to the Holy things of God?

People peer into their computers, phones and televisions more than they peer into the Heart of Heaven. The Shiny Things around us have replaced the Light of the World . . . or so it seems.

As a believer, you know that what you see can never overpower what you know.

You are called to fix your eyes on the One unchangable thing—God. What you know is that God loves this world. And He loves His lost ones just as much today as He did the day He hung on the cross. The world around you changes, but God’s heart for you remains constant.

If you follow Him close enough, then who He is, influences who you are and all you become. Let your Light so brilliantly shine that “the things of this world,” as the hymn writer penned, “grow strangely dim,” when placed next to His glory and grace.

Cut, paste, tweet, post or share this truth today:

The world around us changes but God’s heart for us is unchanging. #LiveSticky

How does God consistently show up in your life?

Thanks for posting encouragement everyday. Sometimes its so discouraging to try to be a light on FB. I feel like people only care about funny or controversial things in their newsfeeds. Like I’m the cosmic killjoy for being a light. But I know that if I keep walking closely with God, He’ll shine the light He put in there to reach those He loves, His children and the lost. Drawing people to Himself. It’s His love and His work. And only He knows how the words we post affect those who read them. God, speak! Let us be Your lips…or fingers.

His glory and His grace consistently show up for me in His world–His creation that changes moment by moment, day by day. And yet He holds the key to its turning. Day always follows night, the clouds always clear, and each season holds its own beauty.

Stay encouraged Jennifer – don’t let the enemy convince you are a killjoy – you are a light bringer and a life-giver. Be faithful and He will do the rest. Grateful you are linked here with us. We are walking and standing with you.

Without hesitation, His truth and His love lift me in the quietness of my morning devotional times. In prayer, connection is established and connection is maintained.
God shows up consistently through acts of ministry and service in online comunities…much like the one here @StickyJesus.
Lost people matter to God. We need to shine HIS light for the lost.
