21 Things Jesus Wants Every Sinner to Know . . . Right Now

sinners, finding Christ, social media for Christians, Christians and social networks

As my hands formed you, I whispered purpose into your bones.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. Psalm 139:7-8

by Toni Birdsong
So many times we overcomplicate the simple. We wrestle with things for a lifetime that could have been settled in a moment had we stopped to really listen and truly understand. How many riches have we rushed past on our way to fill another gap? Whether you are Christ follower, a fence walker, or a non-believer who just stumbled on to this post “by chance,” Jesus Christ has something to say to you right now. He has called out your heart amid a digital stream of millions to make sure you hear His voice and understand how far His love will go to find you.

Here’s what Jesus wants you to know:

  1. You are my beloved. (Eph. 5:1)
  2. I knew you before you were born. As my hands formed you, I whispered purpose into your bones. I can’t not love you. (Ps. 139:1-6)
  3. I love you beyond human reason—even at your very worst, steeped in sin. (Rom. 5:8)
  4. My love is contrary to all you know of “love.” I Love you “even though” and “deeper still.” My love reaches, pursues, remains. (Ps. 36:5)
  5. My Love for you won’t walk out, fail, or ever come to an end. (Deut. 31:8)
  6. No matter what you’ve heard or what you’ve come to believe, there’s nothing that can separate you from my Love. (Rom. 8:38-39)
  7. I am not like people. So please—don’t put human words in my mouth or apply human behaviors to my character. You will miss me altogether. (Isaiah 55:8)
  8. I’ve never ignored you. I’ve been here all along. Protecting. Loving. Waiting. (Ps. 56:8)
  9. Your love of _____ (sin) isn’t worth eternity. I will break your chains. I will give you the desires of your heart. (Jn. 8:32, Ps. 37:4)
  10. Please forgive some of my followers. People—even Christian people—will fail you. You live in a fallen land, where no one is perfect and all need My grace. Put your faith and trust in Me alone. (Psalm 146:3)
  11. There’s no sin I will not forgive. You are the “whosoever believes in me” whom I will give eternal life . . . if you believe. (John 3:16)
  12. As resourceful and brilliant as you are, you cannot save yourself. It’s by God’s grace and faith in Me alone that you are saved. (Eph 2:8-9)
  13. I understand your pain and heartbreak. And my heart breaks with you. (Is. 53:3)
  14. There’s nowhere you can go where my Love won’t find you. (Psalm 139:7-8)
  15. The shame and guilt weighs you down has been taken care of on the cross. Your bill has been zeroed out. (John 3:16)
  16. The addictions. The pride. The selfishness. The hate. The lust. The jealousy. The critical spirit. The greed. I can heal it. All of it. You can start fresh. Today. (Rom. 8:1-4)
  17. I will forgive you. But only if you ask. And I care more about the “ask” than I do about the sin. (Acts 3:19)
  18. I will not force you to do or be anything. I want a relationship with you more than I want to rule over you. (Jeremiah 31:3)
  19. I will forgive your sin and I will forget it. That’s right—completely erase it from my mind. No replays, no record. Gone. (Ps. 103:12)
  20. It’s never too late to turn your life around. I came to give second chances. (Luke 23:42-43)
  21. I love you. Let’s talk. (Jer. 29:13)

I am not like people. So please—don’t put human words in my mouth or apply human behaviors to my character. You will miss me altogether. (Isaiah 55:8)

This hit hard.  All too often, I give our Creator human characteristics that don’t apply.  As a result, I guess I get a “watered down” version of my amazing God!  What a great list!  Really refreshed me – thanks for posting!

I like that one too @twitter-186646452:disqus and always have to remember this when I pray. Do I really expect God to answer my prayers or do I hook my understanding of what’s “possible” onto my prayers? Sobering to surrender to the breadth of our God’s power!
    Thanks for your input!

The addictions. The pride. The selfishness. The hate. The lust. The jealousy. The critical spirit. The greed. I can heal it. All of it. You can start fresh. Today. (Rom. 8:1-4)
Thank you for reminding me of this.

To add one more: Isaiah 43:1-4 (The Message)
But now, God’s Message, the God who made you in the first place, Jacob,
the One who got you started, Israel:
“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.
I’ve called your name. You’re mine.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.
When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you’re between a rock and a hard place,
it won’t be a dead end—
Because I am God, your personal God,
The Holy of Israel, your Savior.
I paid a huge price for you:
all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!
That’s how much you mean to me!
That’s how much I love you!
I’d sell off the whole world to get you back,
trade the creation just for you.

verse 19 makes my heart leap with joy

  • http://twitter.com/ericheir Eric John

Addictions happens, when the person wanted some joy and peace in life and Satan persuades Him to go to the fleshy pleasure turning away from God’s joy, then he gets entangled. So for the person who is humble in front of God for asking Him for cleaning the sinful habits, let Him cry. And every words of our mouth is accountable so God is Just to hear and faithful enough to heal the heart and soul. Jer 3:22 He will heal the backsliding. So from OT to NT we can see God can heal our sins and lift us up to a glory of holiness. The Way Christ and His Blood.

Thanks for quoting the disparaging scriptures and casting a shadow over the encouraging scriptures in this beautiful list that so encouraged me and uplifted me and have given me hope….I have sat under a judgmental, condemning element for a long time and it pushed me far away from the Lord but now I wil believe in His love and avoid those that speak about judgment all of the time.

You missed #22: Follow me as I say or my dad will make you burn in hell forever. Because he loves you.

  • boatman

Len, If God said , Len here is a hundred dollars, you would say no thanks! Give it to somebody else. why is that Gods fault if you turn it down ? God sends no man to hell, man does that himself.

  • Len

I won’t throw myself in a lake of fire. Guess who will do that.

  • Jason

I will not force you to do or be anything. I want a relationship with you more than I want to rule over you. (Jeremiah 31:3)

  • whitemellon

I agree.I especially find Exodus 21:15, Leviticus 20:9, beautiful. Also Deuteronomy 21:18, Mark 7:9-13, and Matthew 15:4-7 lift my spirits when I am feeling down.

He doesn’t love African kids though, he likes to starve them instead! Oh and he won’t perform miracles on amputees, – he doesn’t love them enough!

I understand your pain and heartbreak. And my heart breaks with you. (Is. 53:3) My dad was diagnosed with cancer and HIV almost a year ago. It’s been a painful and terrifying experience. This verse alone makes me weep, the feeling of being alone in all of this is what hurts the most. To know I am not alone, gives me the courage to keep going. Thank you for the list. Sometimes I just need to be reminded about the amazingness of God and Jesus.

Actually, No person will burn in hell. That idea is preached to this day, but completely not of God. What God DOES say is this:

Christ died on the cross as a way to rescue ALL people…past and present. Those who believe this concept now will live. Not live as in breathing & functioning, but live- as in spiritually awakened. WIDE awake. And you will live in God’s kingdom NOW- knowing Him intimately. He will make His presence known. He will provide for ALL your needs and protect you from harm. That’s what being in His Kingdom is all about. Just because someone claims to be a “Christian” does not guarantee them this earthly Kingdom. God expects us to seek Him with ALL our hearts & obey Him. THAT gives us the keys to His Kingdom. Truly loving God means truly submitting to Him and wanting to please Him. Those who don’t do this are still loved….they are just not in the Kingdom, fellowshipping with Him now.

God demands to be number 1 & expects our spirits to submit to Him. This MUST happen in order to see God in this lifetime. ALL will be reconciled to Him after death.

Those who do not have that relationship now, will be reconciled after the physical death, It is AWESOME news for all. But again, the penalty for not acknowledging God is death…not torture….just death. Satan is God’s enemy, not people. The evil we do is from the ruler of the world. Once evil is destroyed, there will be no more death & all will be spiritually pure. This is all in our bibles, but I have never heard it preached because preachers teach in bits and pieces and they themselves are deceived (most). But God can reveal ALL truth. And it will truly set you free, Amen.

Revelation 20:15. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

  • Jeffrey Barber

I am not fond of people quoting the Old Testament, it’s nothing but history and those stories were all handed down verbally. nothing written. If you have to quote the Bible turn to the New Testament.

  • RobinHood

Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way. 2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”

  • Atwas911

Look everyone.. this is where we find the mentally ill.. Yes they actually believe there is some invisible man up in the clouds who created everyone with original sin, then sent his son to die to save them from the original sin he gave to you in the first place.. Good Lord you people are stupid.

  • benny

. I understand your pain and heartbreak. And my heart breaks with you. (Is. 53:3)
This I honestly needed to read. But I don’t want His heart to brake. I love the Lord and I want Him to be happy like He deserves.

  • Jesusbaby

I believe in these words! Word of Jesus Christ, I will forgive your sin and I will forget it. That’s right—completely erase it from my mind. No replays, no record. Gone. (Ps. 103:12) My absolute verse & I will forgive you. But only if you ask. And I care more about the “ask” than I do about the sin. (Acts 3:19) & Please forgive some of my followers. People—even Christian people—will fail you. You live in a fallen land, where no one is perfect and all need My grace. Put your faith and trust in Me alone. (Psalm 146:3) & to go through God is to go through Jesus Christ.

  • jesus

Peace upon you, for my father has sent me to not condemn but to bring you all to peace if you do not believe this then truly I say to you, you do not yet know my father, for my father is good to all who believes in his son. If he does not believe that I am, coming soon then what was the signs for what was all my work for? Was not saving you enough? Was not bringing you home enough? Was not my father waking each and everyone of you up not enough? Please my children be at peace for the father watches all. I am within my father as my father in me, blessed are the pure and heart, for they shall see god, if you love me, you will keep my commandments deep within your heart. I love you all, I will never stop loving you, come home and you will be at peace. I am, waiting for you.

  • Atwas911

What a crock of shit… Thats all your kind does is condemn… People are born into condemnation in your world view.. their crimes are that of being born.. the punishment is to burn for ever..

You are a liar as well as a delusional mentally ill nutcase.
