His story in YOU - waiting to be written and shared
There are so many other things Jesus did. If they were all written down, each of them, one by one, I can’t imagine a world big enough to hold such a library of books.
John 21:25 The Message

Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].
James 4:10, Amplified
Today we serve up our desire for humility. We pray that this one word non-resolution resolution will lead and guide us in all we do.
You will lift the humble and take down the proud. When I go online each day, may the world see less of me and more of You in my words and interactions. Give me your eyes to see more of others and less of myself.
He guides the humble in what is rightand teaches them His way. Psalm 25:9, NIV
So what do you do to walk and live out humility online? You take take it one step at a time and….
Reach out- The easy path is to seek people that are just like you, but you reach out to someone that is not like you. You find someone outside the usual circle of friends. Or find someone that’s just getting started in social networking. You’re the hand that brings them along.
Do you want to stand out? Then step down. Be a servant. If you puff yourself up, you’ll get the wind knocked out of you. But if you’re content to simply be yourself, your life will count for plenty. Matthew 23:12, The MSG
As a believer, you’re suspended between two worlds when you log online. Marketers are in the business of pushing your hot buttons – the emotional wires that when tripped just right make you want to buy, buy, and buy things.
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Everywhere you click online, competing messages, philosophies, opinions, and personal agendas dominate. Life in The Land of Shiny things can complicate rather than simplify the life of a believer . . . if you advance without caution.
A majority, if not all, of the people online are talking, selling, exchanging information, goods, purchasing, or making a full time job of persuading others to do something. It’s a cultural currency that can heavily influence your thinking, vocabulary, perception, and even your self-image — like it or not; agree or not.
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:18, NIV
The new year is off, running, and pulling you along with it. Perhaps you’ve faithfully posted your thoughtful resolutions and set brand new goals for the year. Maybe you took a short cut on a newly inspired quest for simplicity and repurposed last year’s version. Maybe you just said, “Whatever.”
For those that made some kind of commitment for the new year, it’s the first week and we know you have your focus on.
Alece, at Grit & Glory, delivered an inspiring challenge regarding the new year–she disrupted thinking a usual with the idea of a one word non-resolution resolution. Alece picked one simple, powerful word to live by for the year. Her idea was contagious, so we’re going to start the year with a focus on one word, too.
For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12, The Amplified Bible

Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. I Timothy 4:12, NLT
What you do speaks louder than anything you could ever say.
Social media gives others the opportunity to see into your life. It doesn’t take long for them to figure out what holds your heart, where you spend your time, how you honor family and friends, and that you are clearly different-peculiar-in a refreshing kind of way. People are literally reading your life one blog, video, picture, or update at a time. And you know what, it just might be the only Truth they ever personally encounter.
The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God in readiness for God from day one.
Everything was created through Him; nothing-not one thing!-came into being without Him.
What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness and the darkness couldn’t put it out. John 1:1-5 , The Message
God ‘spoke’ life into existence. Through the power of His Word creation took its first breath. We often underestimate the power of our own words and the difference they make between life and death. We miss their weight and impact on us and others.
I love the spoken word, the written word, and the everlasting Word. That God would tap a misfit like me to communicate His sticky message of love to others is proof of His amazing grace. It's my joy to help you dig up, demystify, and, debunk the tech speak so together, we can #LiveSticky online—for Him. Here's a little more of my story.
I’m a child of the liberating King; soaked in grace, living to serve, and loving others along the way. I long for the utter relief of holiness and grateful I’ve not been left here to get there on my own. Believing whole-heartedly that He qualifies the called, I’ve accepted this assignment as a digital scribe for such a time as this. Here's a little more of my story.
