The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Luke 2:20, NIV

They remembered. “Glory to God in the highest heaven"
By Tami Heim
By any chance, did you wake up wishing Christmas lingered a little longer this year? I did. I’ve been thinking about the shepherds and the afterglow they experienced seeing the heavenly host of angels and then gazing on the face of the baby Jesus. I image they shared the story of that night often and every time they did it brought them new comfort and joy. I simply refuse to surrender the sacred sweetness of this Christmas season. Will you refuse, too? I’m making some choices today and invite you to join me.
Today I’m going to…

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross! Philippians 2:8, NIV
By Tami Heim
Inspired by Alece, at Grit & Glory, 2011 started with a one-word non resolution: Humility. As Christmas approaches and reflections on this past year begin to accumulate, people around the world celebrate the Breath of Heaven coming down to earth. God sends His Son and the world’s first introduction to the long awaited Saviour is a baby sleeping in a manger. Announced by prophets centuries before His birth, He arrives as our only Way, Truth, and Life. Every step, word, and action is marked with humility and testifies to the great love of the Father. That one word, humility, reflects His whole life.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
– Philippians 2:5-7, NIV

Luke 7:37-39
By Tami Heim
Jesus commands His followers to love God and love people. Every connection He makes serves to emphasize this point. By invitation, He forgives, redeems, and introduces His Kingdom in real-time.
When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.
~ Luke 7:36, NIV
Jesus loves and leverages the power of story. With them, He resets cultural boundaries, rocks the status quo, and accentuates a love beyond the law that few comprehend. Stories with unprecedented compassion and forgiveness relocate hearts to foreign and uncomfortable places. His holy agenda permeates what He says and all He does.

NOW!
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” – Mark 16:15, NIV
By Tami Heim
The command has been given. There’s much work to do and it’s time for you, beloved digital disciple to GO. Don’t keep this lost and dying world waiting another moment longer.
The journey starts HERE:
- Pray – Pray – Pray – Submit your heart, time, and online conversation to the Lord. Allow Him to power you up before you power on each day.
- Focus on the agenda – Stay on mission. Know why you are there and Who you serve.
- Listen carefully – There’s a lot of chatter, but among it are real people in real need of the Truth that can save them.
- Understand there’s a person behind every post –Hurt people hurt. It’s no different online. Don’t judge or discriminate. Ask your Father to see the person behind the post through His eyes.

Do not hear, see, or speak evil.
By Tami Heim
For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. – James 1:13-14, NIV
Like a modern-day postcard of James’ letter to the 12 tribes, this picture communicates profound wisdom. The message is increasing relevant and desperately needed in this wired world. If you spend a good portion of time on the Internet, how you receive and respond to it may be the difference between living out your faith online and losing it.
Your ears, eyes, and mouth are portals to the soul and every day, you decide how to regulate what goes in and what comes out. How many times have you done an innocent Google search and among the results you find something far different from what you intended? Exactly.

"Feed my sheep." - Jesus
By Tami Heim
God longs for you to fall in love with the things that hold His heart and for your purposes to align perfectly with His. He schedules no time-outs when it comes to completing His master plan.
He is the God that rescues, redeems, and restores.
Oh how He desires for you to be part of it. God makes His presence known and He wants it to be known through you.
Jesus tells us in John 15:16-17, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed to you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last Then the Father will give whatever you ask in my name. This is my commad: Love each other.”
