the promise of rest

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. –  Matthew 11:28 – 30, NIV

By Tami Heim

Pushing, striving, and straining are not how God intends for you to live, work, or serve. Instead He instructs you to seek Him first, trust Him always, and obey His Word. How magnificent this invitation to exchange a life of striving for a life of thriving in the abundance of His overflow.
